Gratitude is a skill, built overtime becomes a habit. Being able to trust in Jesus Christ who gave us all things freely.
Romans 8: 28 “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
- Prayer, meditation, and bible study: when we spend time daily in the word and in the presence of God the more our spirit is renewed. As we focus more on the plan God has for us the more, we surrender with a heart of thanksgiving to him.
- Have a gratitude journal: by writing down our feelings and emotions we become more intune with ourselves, we trust ourselves more and realize that we have more things to write and be grateful for.
- Remember things of your past: we should not dwell in the past because we do not belong there. Remembering in times past on how the Lord has brought us from adversity and made ways when it was impossible roves to us how much he will do it again. God gives us new blessings everyday beginning with a new sunrise to start each one of us on this earth regardless of our financial status, race or culture or faith background and every morning the sunrises are unique, it is a blessing of his unfailing love towards us each day.
- Show kindness to other: being kind to others in simple ways not only bless others but us as well. Cooking food for a friend who is overworked, creating handmade card for the less fortunate in our communities and mailing flowers to someone you have not seen in a while, all of these are acts of kindness.
